William Christian Knops

William Christian Knops, age 60, passed away February 25, 2026 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

William was born and raised in La Grange, Illinois, and move to Ohio in 2006 to be with his brother and family. That’s where he found the love of his life, Reva. Together they built a life of love for almost 20 years.

William was a simple man, and loved simple things like NASCAR, his Chicago Bears/Cubs and of course music. There wasn’t a person that he didn’t befriend wherever he went.

William had a career at Firestone country club in hospitality for ten years where he found great fulfillment in his work, friendships and peers.

William is proceeded in death by his father, Kenneth Rollin Knops. He is survived by his wife, Reva A. Knops; stepdaughter, Lois A. Boggs (Mellissa, and daughter Sophia); mother, Kathryn Albina Knops; brother, John Knops; nephews, Andrew and Peter Knops, John Frombaugh (Cammie), Kyle Wade; nieces, Caroline (Griffin) Ward, Janessa (Rick) Gregory; great-niece, Ashley Wade (Cody), great-great-nephews, Bryson and Thor; aunts, Kris (Tom) and Karen; and many cousins and friends that loved him dearly.

Williams smile will shine through us all until we see him again.

A visitation for William will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home in Barberton, Ohio. Burial will take place at Lockwood Cemetery in Coventry Township, Ohio.
